High Tea is a British tradition of drinking tea while seated in chairs with high back support.
Tea and typical food items are served including, but not limited to, plated items such as deli meats, watercress, pickle, cucumber sandwiches, pies, tarts, vegetables, homemade breads, cheese and crackers, jams, teacakes and biscuits, Warm appetizer can also be served along with additional small finger foods. High tea can be served as a lunch or an afternoon event. High tea is different from afternoon tea because warm food is also served.
