Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea has been celebrated in England since 1840

It began as a mini meal a few hours after lunch and before dinner (supper) which is usually served around 8pm. It consists of small sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jams, sweet desserts, pastries and cakes. Scones were added to the mix when they were introduced in the early 20th century. Tea time with Lorna serves a variety of teas and or drinks, cakes, scones, sandwiches and light finger foods usually severed between 2-6pm.
